To ensure portability between the different installations and systems used, it is highly recommended that authors keep in mind the following restrictions:
(1) Large files should be compressed and/or archived using public software such as gzip, winzip, stuffit or tar. (2) Only files that can be typeset with standard format and classical fonts (times roman, CM or AMS fonts), without using too personalized style sheets, are acceptable. (3) Authors may submit raw image data files in various formats (EPS, PDF, TIF, JPG, PPT, etc.) as vector graphics illustrations or bitmap files. Files must be portable. Therefore EPS (PDF) images need to be formatted with fully embedded fonts or converted to a rastered image. Resolution of bitmaps (TIF, GIF, JPG, BMP, etc.) has to be sufficient for the print version (at least 300 dpi). Images generated at low resolution for display purposes are not acceptable. (4) Color figures are printed in greyscale, unless printing in color is specifically requested and paid by the authors.
*** Please note that files typeset using the software application Word need partial retyping. Consequently, proofs should be checked very carefully against the original manuscript. ***
