In the present review, the semiempirical method of construction of quasi-molecular terms for nonsymmetrical noble gas atom pairs is presented. The constructed terms form the basis of discussion of the data on excited atom diffusion in noble gas mixture ; collision-induced satellites of forbidden and resonance lines ; collision depolarization of excited atoms; radiative quenching of metastable atoms; broadening and shift of the spectral lines.
PACS: 3440 – Elastic scattering of atoms and molecules / 3150 – Excited states of atoms and molecules
